Emotive Electronic Music with Jungle Experience Headliner MUUI

Phanganist caught up with MUUI, one of the headliners for Jungle Experience on May the 21st.

He is on his way already!

Hey MUUI, so are you looking forward to Koh Phangan, been here before?
I’ve been to many places in Asia but never to Phangan and I have heard it’s quite unique and special for so many reasons so I am super excited!

What have you heard?
Many friends of mine have played in Thailand and have spoken of the great parties and people down here.

That and the beautiful scenery!

What have you been up to for the beginning of this year so far?
I released my second album - Following Today on Marc Poppcke's - Crossfrontier Audio, alongside an EP release alongside Eduardo De La Calle on my own label - Paranoid Dancer.

The start of the year was quite cold here in Berlin so I have been inside busy making music as during the summer it’s quite hard to stay inside so I have prepared a lot of music, both for my live set and also for release.

I've also had some great gigs in Germany, Turkey, Morocco and France.
 

Can you explain your productions...
Emotive electronic music with House and Techno influences.

And what can we expect from your set at Jungle Experience on the 21st of May?
I play as a live act using Ableton, so I will play my own productions pieced together live with added improv.

I will play some tracks from my last two albums alongside many unreleased tracks.

What have you heard about Jungle Experience...?
Only really that it will be impossible for me not to have an amazing time!

And what kind of dance floor do you like to create?
No matter if it's a big or small event indoors or outdoors, always for me the aim is to draw everyone into the same frame of mind with a slowly building hypnosis that's threaded throughout my productions.

What will be your main projects for the rest of the year?
I have expanded my modular synth setup so I will be working on a new live concept for my MUUI project and also under my Techno guise 'Patrik Carrera'.

Some nice releases are planned and also some gigs I am looking forward to.
