The closing of several national parks due to the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has helped their habitats to recover, with the Thung Salaeng Luang National Park recording increased wildlife sightings.
Their presence in the national park is deemed a form of natural regeneration, helped by its suspension because of the COVID-19 case. Many recently observed wildlife animals include rabbits, foxes, deer, and hedgehogs, both displaying heightened movement in the absence of tourists to the park.

A family of wild boars in Thung Salaeng Luang National Park has filmed cavorting after officials set up a camera network to catch wildlife during the daytime and at night.
The boars were seen near a savannah site in Nang Phaya field in Khao Kho district in Phetchabun province.
