Automatic Visa Extensions for Tourists

Tourists who arrived in Thailand after March 1st will be granted automatic renewal of their visas.

The proposal is still yet to be officially announced however it was approved by cabinet on Tuesday 31st March.

It was a concern that tourists were gathering in their hundreds at immigration offices.

If you hold any other type of visa you still need to visit an immigration office for an extension.
