Inside a Writer's Mind with James Newman (J D Strange)

 

An enjoyable chat with James Newman aka Author JD Strange whilst he has been sitting out, yet thoroughly enjoying, lockdown in Bangkok.

Born in Kent, James grew up in South London Then went on to work in the City until 2001 when he first came to Thailand as a backpacker and travelled from Bangkok to Koh Phangan to attend his 1st of many Full Moon Parties.

He has written short stories for Pulp Fiction magazines, taught English and spent time bumming around Isaan and Bangkok before settling there, where he wrote about the seedy side of criminal life in the City.

Last year he was invited onto This Strange Life Podcast as a guest but went back as a host, recently their guests have included John Mcafee and David Icke. During the lockdown, James has written The Circus which you can hear about in our video.
