Yoga anatomy &alignment course (recommended for every 200h,300h &500h YTTC teacher) (opens with minimum of 6 students)

This is a hands on workshop/trainign on Yoga alignment and anatomy. You will gain profound knowledge through personal experience rather than a dry lecture.

At the end of the workshop you will know:
the major muscles of the body
how you can use them to perform Asanas better
prevent yourself and your students from injuries

We are going to explore all the joints, their movement and which muscles are involved in it. Then we will apply this knowledge to different Asanas and see how to use the muscles to support us in the poses.

This workshop is built on Oren’s combined knowledge as an Osteopath and his personal experience as a Yoga practitioner over the past 15 years.

We will systematically study each of the joints, its movements, the muscles which make it move, and how it maneuvers during Yoga postures. We will bridge the gap between the muscular-skeletal system and the Asana practice by exploring which muscles are activated (contracted/ stretched) in each posture. We will emphasize the importance of utilizing the muscles correctly for safety and accuracy of Asana practice, and explore common mishaps during practice.

Oren Dotan D.O is a licensed osteopath and the developer of the integrative craniosacral method.

During the last decade, he has studied with the world’s best osteopaths and has studied the fields of osteopathy, craniosacral therapy and yoga. He gives treatments all over the world and holds workshops and courses for training therapists and yoga practitioners and teachers.
