Getting To & From Phuket Airport
Airport bus to Phuket Town costs 100 THB. Taxi to Patong Beach about 700-800 THB. For Gulf island connections, Bangkok Airways flies Phuket to Samui, or take a bus to Surat Thani (5-6 hours).
Common Mistakes
- • Assuming there's a ferry from Phuket to Koh Phangan — there isn't, they're on different coasts
- • Not realizing the overland journey from Phuket to Gulf islands takes most of a day
