British Embassy Bangkok announced Emergency loans for return flights for British citizens in Thailand who wish to fly back to England.

The embassy announced that if a British citizen in Thailand can't cover his transportation costs and has exhausted his potential financing opportunities, he might be able to qualify for a government emergency loan.

This loan will encourage to take a commercial flight back to the UK, where there are still flights running.

The loan is a 'last resort' option, so when back in the UK, you'd need to repay the loan. For further information on the disaster, loans see guidance on financial assistance abroad.
Corporate Travel Management (CTM) is approved on behalf of the Government to manage such loans. If the area isn't identified with local code, can contact CTM to request a callback.

In order to apply for an emergency loan, Call the closest CTM national call center to apply for an emergency loan and book the seat where commercial flights to the UK are available.

British Nationals in Thailand announcement on Facebook: If you can’t afford your flight home you may be able to get a loan from the UK government. More information on our Travel Advice pages or by calling +852 2313 9955.
