Thailand's Civil Aviation Authority (CAAT) has released its fourth notice adding another month for a restriction on international commercial flights to Thailand.

CAAT describes the need to pursue interventions against the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) to successfully deter and monitor the virus' dissemination.

According to this notice released on 27 April 2020, the prohibition will be expanded at 23.59 hrs from 1 May 2020, at 00.01 hrs until 31 May 2020. Both flight permits issued will be revoked for that time.

CAAT allows exceptions for landings of the following aircraft:

1) State or military aircraft;

2) Emergency landing;

3) Technical landing without passenger disembarkation;

4) Humanitarian aid, medical, and relief flights;

5) Repatriation flights;

6) Cargo aircraft.

Passengers flying on the aforementioned flights will be subject to communicable disease prevention measures such as 14-day state quarantine and Section 9 of the Public Administration in Emergency Cases B.E. Emergency Rule. (2005) 2548.
