About Amanda:

When sharing the various practices of yoga, Amanda’s intention is to create a contemplative and permissive space where students can learn and practice tools that engender awareness, compassion and gratitude in a place and time often marked with chaos, stress and disorder.

Amanda’s honesty and depth often inspire great changes in personal growth and transformation within her students. Her yoga classes go beyond mastering the pose, encouraging all practitioners to look deeper into mastering themselves. Having committed to a path of discipline and self study for over two decades, she is a living example of how to weave the ancient yogic teachings into our everyday lives. Her aim is to make the practices accessible, practical and magical.

Amanda’s relationship to sound and mantra began early in her path to becoming a yoga instructor. While her studies initially began with Sanskrit mantras she has been blessed to deepen her knowledge of sound through many beautiful traditions and technologies such as Indian Ragas, the Gurmukhi Alphabet, Shipibo Icaros and Native American Vocables. All of which carry a powerful technology to invoke healing and transformation. She believes sound, vibration and intention to be the foundational tools for architecting our own universe and destiny.

Amanda is a E-RYT® 200, RYT® 500, YACEP® and has traveled with her work to India, Indonesia, Nicaragua, Egypt, The United Arab Emirates, Mexico and currently Thailand. She has studied under Laughing Lotus Founders Dana Flynn and Jasmine Tarkeshi, Thomas Ashley-Farrand, Swami Brahmananda Saraswati of the Shankaracharya lineage, Swami Umesh Yogi Ji of Rishikesh, the RA MA Institute For Applied Yogic Science & Technology and has been initiated with the vow of Bodhisattva by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. She is a dedicated student of recognized Taino Elder and Ceremonial Leader Maestro Manuel Rufino, for whom she owes her eternal gratitude.
