Lojong Mind Training: Embracing Obstacles as the Path

31 Jan 12:00

Ananda Yoga & Detox Center

We invite you to join Aksel at Ananda Yoga and Detox Center to dive into the history and practice of Lojong. Each week will go deeper into this philosophy - so come each time to gain more knowledge and application methods.

The Lojong tradition is firmly rooted classical Madhyamika (Middle Way) philosophy. It was brought to Tibet from Sumatra in the 11th century. From that time, these teachings and practices spread to all four main schools of Tibetan Buddhism where it is still taught and practiced today. In these workshops we will look at the beautiful literature of this lineage as well as the meditation techniques used for abandoning ego as well as cherishing and developing a more loving, compassionate and spacious mindset.

Sangye Dorje (Aksel) first started studying in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition in the late 90's. This led to ordination as a monk, a decade in Nepal and India, and several years in traditional closed retreat, including one year in solitary mountain retreat at 3,000 meters. He holds a Master's in Buddhist Studies from SOAS, University of London.

This is a recurring workshop happening each Tuesday from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.
600 THB per person.
