As a lot of people are arriving for the amazing Full Moon Party soon we hope that all you party people will spend some time seeing what else this amazing island has to offer.

Chaloklum is famous for its access the famous 'Sail Rock' which is one of the best (if not THE best) dives sites accessible from Koh Phangan.

However there is a lot more to this sleepy little village than meets the eye.

It has a beautiful harbour with busy fishermen and boat taxis coming and going all throughout the day.

The village does have a sleepy and laid back vibe that is unique to the island for such a busy fishing village.

Chaloklum is on the far North of the island and it will take about 20 minutes on a motorcycle ride or taxi from Thong Sala. One of the most scenic bike rides on the island is from Thong Sala and around the North West Coast and eventually arriving in Chaloklum and is an amazing day out for sight seeing or a little adventure.

The village itself has a large amount of Ex-Pats who love it that much they have decided to call Chaloklum their home. As a result the village comes alive after sunset and there are many bars suitable for all tastes where you can drink and chat the night away on a beach setting or inside the jungle. The village boasts some amazing restaurants with plenty of Western and Thai food available and of course the sea food is as fresh and tasty as everywhere on Koh Phangan.

There are many taxi boats here that can take you round to the infamous bottle beach which has to be seen to be believed as to how beautiful this beach is. Bottle beach is accessible by a dirt track but we suggest a boat ride as its more fun and alot safer than the road and many boat taxis are available from Chaloklum beach or the boat taxis behind the main road.

So please take your time to visit this part of the island and enjoy the scenic views on the way there you wont be disappointed.
