Spending the Weekend in Koh Phangan!

Ooh the weekend!

How us Westerners used to plough through Monday to Friday jobs to just live for the weekend.

Sometimes in Thailand it can still work like that and sometimes not.

Maybe you are based elsewhere in Thailand working or studying or you are travelling and the days you are planning to visit Koh Phangan happen to be on the weekend.

What to do on the weekend in Koh Phangan? Well you can have an amazing time, that’s for sure!

Get that Friday feeling back in your pants and enjoy a great weekend on Koh Phangan!

Friday is Guy’s Bar, the legendary party on the East coast of the island in Haad Yuan, only accessible by boat or jeep.

You could plan to place yourself over this side of the island for the next couple of days or even the whole weekend as after Guy’s Bar on Friday, Saturday brings you Eden Garden.

Eden Garden is another great party, most people like it as it is situated on the beach and what better place to have a party than the beach.

Another plus to this is that this side of the island is really beautiful and remains mostly untouched with just a few accommodation places amongst the beautiful nature where you can enjoy the most wonderful views.

After two days of partying you may like to wind down at The Sanctuary which is situated in Haad Yuan also, they offer a range of detox and yoga courses, and much more to just unwind.

If you fancy something a little bit different then every Saturday on Koh Phangan at Walking Street in Thong Sala they have the ‘Walking Market’.

Here you can find lots of different stalls selling all sorts of things from clothing, jewellry, food etc.

Most are at great prices too, cheaper than some shops on the island and the market has a buzzy atmosphere and extends nearly all the way down to the pier!

End your weekend with Koh Phangan’s only ‘on the water’ party, Loi Lay.

Loi Lay happens every Sunday and usually starts around sunset so you can go and chill, enjoy some of the best music and have a boogie or go later or stay later even until the early hours of closing!

Loi Lay floating bar is always rocking those waves!

Remember to just have an explore around the island, there is always something to do or something not to do!
