Discovery channel is out with a new series of travel programs and in the first episode Koh Phangan was their target.
After spending a few weeks here, getting to know the ground they created an episode that shows Koh Phangan from its best side.
One of the ideas was to show what Phangan has to offer besides the Famous
Full Moon party that has been attracting tourists here almost 30 years.
Angela Kan the star of the show, Jo Fok the producer and a full film crew really succeeded in showing Phangan from other sides than the often dreadful
full moon parties.
Phangan has been having a bad reputation when it comes to tourism especially when it comes to the
full moon week.
These days with a new police chief in power who is reaching out to the tourists and promising better times and Discovery travel program showing the other assets of the island, Phangan hopes to recover from the bad reputation and finally be seen as the beautiful coconut island it really is.
Phangan culture is absolute one of the most special ones around the world, because of the mix of activities, people and surroundings.
