Welcome to Koh Phangan, so this is your first time in Thailand do you like it?
Yes I like it a lot, here on the island there are a lot of good vibes. I have been to Bangkok and here so far so have not seen anymore but next year I will, I will come for longer, for three months and make a big tour with Phangan, Samui, Koh Tao, Singapore and Malaysia.
What is your DJ history?
I started three years ago in Germany in a small club called Mikz and a few weeks later I was a resident in one of the best clubs in Berlin, Magdalena.
What made you want to be a DJ?
For me it was not enough just to dance, I wanted to be part of it myself, to be the one who makes people dance and to see this from the dj booth.
When the people on the dancefloor feel the vibes from my music this is what I like.
So you produce also, try to explain your style...
In one word my style is Tech House, I live and I love Tech House. It’s very groovy with special vocals and deep basslines.
You played at Night Nature, how was the party?
The party was very good, I could feel the energy from the people and the sound system is one of the best I have played in Thailand! When more people come it will be very big!
What do you think of the Phangan party scene?
You can tell that the scene in Phangan is growing and many people are coming from many different countries to feel the good music here that’s on the island in the party scene.
What are your main projects for this year?
I will have many releases and the next tour, the big tour for next year which starts in December plus small tours in Switzerland and Austria.
Tell us about the Berlin scene compared to Phangan?
In Berlin there are a lot of clubs and many different scenes so it’s all a little confused.
People on Koh Phangan have much more love and the parties are more about celebration and dancing!
What was one of your best gigs of your career?
I have one best gig and this was Magdalena closing party two years ago.
The people, the crowd from the club was just big love, I have no words for this! It’s a unique place.
How did you get to where you are today?
After three years of hard work I am now here in Koh Phangan, this is my first tour with seven gigs already behind me. I am waiting for what will come next.
I work everyday, music is my work.
What would you say to aspiring DJs?
Never stop believing in yourself if you want to go far.
What will you be doing when you’re back in Berlin?
We will wait for the opening of Magdalena club and I will be in my studio making many productions on my own and productions with dj friends of mine.
And do you have a life philosophy?
Music is my religion.
