Reza's TranQuiloGen Thai Fi!
Reza was always surrounded by music...
His parents were excellent music lovers and listeners!
They had a beautiful musical impact on Young Mr Reza!
He is one of the most calm & comfortable sweet guys to be around and it is a pleasure to listen to his family and bagground story.
When we talk to him, he expresses gratefulness and happiness about his childhood and upbringing and the memories that flows from his mind all vibrates with bits of family love.
One of his first memories - he tells us, is sitting on the backseat of the car, going somewhere with his parents and the stereo is on.
Sitting on the back seat listening to music, with the world slowly sliding by.
"They listened to everything", he reveals, "they were good listeners and enjoyed to have music around them all the time."
“Everywhere we were or went - the music would follow!” he says!
So surely our Boy Reza grew up to be, a very musical being.
Being a member of a music loving family who were the happy boogie owners of a giant Music library, young Reza had early gloriuos days of listening and learning to appriciate and enjoy all genres of the Musical Wonder World!
Young Reza would as a boy often sneak into this “Home-Hall of Music” for a soothing of his music munchies!!
Not everyone was offered this delight and liberty so Reza the Kid very early felt a special connection to music and grew up with a continuing developing musical mind set.
Reeza enjoyed and bounced out with every kind of music he found from that library tresure!
He Rocked along with everything in there, from Rock-Metal to Jazz and sometimes stuff he had no idea what was!
Simply just enjoying the different tunes, tones, frequencies and keys!!
Rock and Metal came around on a Sweet Roundabout, and then it mostly all went electronic.
Before the full electronic age, he accomplished to Manage Melodies on many different Acoustic instruments.
It's believable that this is one good reason, or back ground if you like, for Reza’s neat ability today, to play & madly present every genre in the electronic world.
His Ears are on the Groove of every Genre!
Reza's Mad Finger skills includes Psychedelic Trance, Progressive Psy, Chill out & Glitch Hop.
In Thailand, he was initially hired to play in the Koh Tao New Year experience 2010.
Psychedelic trance was on the menu.
A few days later he went with the crew to Phangan and here he played his first set on Phangan at the ever so famous and beloved, Trance Sand Dance floor under the Psychedelic Palmes at the Ban Sabaii after party.
On Phangan you will not be left alone if you have a talent to share, - and this he had!
In fact, he had more than one!
From then he made it back to visit Phangan every year in high season.
Four years ago this changed into a permanent residency on Phangan. And for good reason.
He made many friends here of course, you do when you’re a friendly dude, and with friends more connections and with that more job offers.
The Half Moon Festival was looking for the Light, in form of a light engineer (manager) and as this was also a talent of Mr Reza, he got the job.
This is today still his main priority, next to his music.
He is super grateful to have been introduced to and to work with Lars Lee, Our Guitar Hero and Mr Jao Half Moon "Man"!
Also a big thanks to Anika Miss Venus Vibes, Danny Apnea, Tommy Crew, Jun Dj Psycho, DJ PHB Mr Fabrice & Jo MoonTribe.
One thing led to another and Reza grew with his talents!
Half Moon recognized his Musical Talents along with his Visual and soon he was booked to also play progressive Trance there and invited to be a part of the brilliant Jam Tuning Space Brothers.
The Space Brothers show is the amazing Opening Show for the Half Moon festival.
It is truly a Magnificent Musical & Visual show!
Giant Gongs, Flute players, Sax’es, Guitars, Drums, Djs and Beautiful Dancers - all kind of musicians from all over the world, acoustic as well as electronic, - all tuned into planetary frequencies in a stunning harmonic Jam Connection!!
Reza became a resident at the Half Moon party.
His main job still being HM light engineer - but now also with Boogie time on the decks!
He was early taught to play Acoustic instruments - but one of his other early passions - was to make long playlists that would fit together in beautiful ways.
To make a story from the secret music library .. the thought of the Infinitive possibilities to combine the different music was facinating to this one!
.. And from there - maybe the most natural step – would be to DJ ...
To tell a story in Music .. mixing is a natural extension of combining the pieces!
Electronic natural development. ;)

Then there was the parties.
The shanti Trance family. The electronic freakazoids.
The Half moon and different Trance venues around the world and here on Phangan.
Lately more and more in the Sramanora waterfall also.
But mainly and primarily at the Half moon.
His light managing and handy man talents are his first and very first priority. Next to that is playing his crispy progressive trance treats for his trance family!
He hopes to stay on Phangan for some time now and have a plan to create and produce tracks with his brother.
This project is not new.
They have been working on this for a while now, - but no long ago, Reza ask his brother to help him push this project more forward again!
Reza is surrounded by music every day.
His conducts his every day life in the ShowRoom, where he sells quality equipment for all music lovers, makers and doers.
You can find Reza here between 12 & 5 pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Here on Phangan, he has the best oportunity to create music.
Mr Jao, Half Moon Owner, also owns a nice studio on the island, which Reza is more than welcome to use also.
With the right profesional equipment, he can really create new quality music!
"It is necessary with real quality gear if you like to release the kind of right high quality sound - that also sounds good when it is played on big speakers on a big festival," !
"For this you do need a bit of technical tools, but the music it self - you can easily produce without," he says.
"It's is really only about the sound quality more than its about the beats or the melody on your track!"
Reza says, he feels very lucky to be here on Phangan.
From the first moment here, he met good friends who all helped him a step further to his dream.
As many residents on Phangan he is one more to claim : I LIVE MY DREAM !!!
This oasis of worldly frequency, this small paradise bounty land, with smiles and free minds, full of opportunities for anyone who has the courage or the will to make a life for them self here among the peaceful, beautiful and friendly space - by palm trees and azure blue waters. The amazing nature and the simple living among the locals. - and some of the residents.
In our small chit chat we also went over the development of the island the last couple of years.
It is always with a bit of mixed heart to discuss this subject.
On one hand it is the charming old Koh Phangan that is loosing its couloirs to Big C - and on the other hand, tourism is a very good business.
Reza told Phanganist, that he personally appriciate "the few special parties" more than the regular weekly electronic parties.
He does not need to party every day. No one needs that, he feels. Not even on a holiday.
Instead of living at the party, you could imagine to make something exceptionel for that party and make less parties!
Get more quality time to produce the music, that you play on the parties, - or something else you that enjoy that will allow & assist you to grow and develope your skillset.
This is probably also more healthy and rewarding than the daily party attending... is Reza's conclusion!
Reza is happy to play all kind of genres as he does now, he likes to enjoy and play all kinds of music just as he learned from home - and he knows how to create the story out of every kind of beat!
With a dreaming look back in the days where Phangan was the old moon party island - he still feels that if the general opinion is, that whatever is happening, - is a good development and everyone is satisfied, it is a success.
Thank you Mr TranQuiloGen, for your insigts and background sneak peak!
It has been a plesure to Boogie to Your Beats at the Half Moon and Our Eyes still feels like little RainBow Rollercosters since the last look into the Light at the HM Stage!
Wishing you the best of Luck on your Producing and Newly Sramanora Conquered Decks!
Keep Up the Bounce and Catch you in the near future at Half Moon and Sramanora!!
