A sweet cafe on the Ban Tai mainroad just after Ban Sabaii heading towards the Baan Tai pier. The blue cafe is situated just across from the Loi Lay party pier. Christian the owner, created a sweet pause from the road racing and boat party'ing just outside his door. An artistic chill out den, a creative space to drink your coffee or have a beer.
We asked Christian about his Koh Phangan experience and his idea behind the cafe;
"I arrived to Phangan two and a half years ago, after spending two years in Morocco. I am originally from Britany in France.
I am a very passionate photographer and I love to stay on Phangan where there is so rich opportunity to express my art.
I want to create a space where I can offer the artists of this island a nice outlet for their art.
I am happy to exibit all kind of artistic creations in NB cafe such as sculpturs, photos, jewelry, designs, garments, lamps, different djs, singers, musicians, theater, fashionshows and what ever else comes along the way.
I took the time to find a place that has a story, a soul.
I like to do it my way while respecting my landlord and their familyhome, and I made only a few modifications to the place.
We have currently eleven artists (six different nationalities) who work with me and expose their art in the cafe.
Every Monday and Friday we have different Djs coming to play here.
I have decided to stay and live here now. I love this unspoiled island, a melting pot of people, full of energy and fellow artists ...
I love music and dancing aswell and Phangan has it all.
Here I can enjoy all my passions!! - together with many others artists!
