As part of the process to open Koh Phangan Police to be friendlier and more accessible to the tourists, Mr. Khun Mot, the new Police Chief on Phangan, agreed to be filmed for an interview, sharing his vision about Koh Phangan!
Describing the safety measures being taken at the Fullmoon party, speaking about the cooperation with the local community, both Thai & Farangs, who resides on Koh Phangan! with projects such as the Koh Phangan Police Football Cup.

Koh Phangan is very famous for it’s party scene and through the years the island has developed quite an audience, and every day the police are doing a great job to keep everyone safe and happy at the parties and on the streets!
The most famous party of them all, is of course the Full Moon Party every month in Haad Rin!
This event attracts many many tourists to the Island every month and in the last 10 years and has rendered to be both famous and infamous!
It is the most famous monthly rave in South East Asia and one of the most known around the world. Every month 10,000 to 30,000 young tourists arrive to Koh Phangan to celebrate.
The operation which is needed to keep all these young tourists safe and sound is surly not a simple matter.
The Koh Phangan police department is the one responsible for this operation and Khun Mot , Mr. Mot, the police chief of Koh Phangan, is present himself during every Fullmoon party to ensure that the party will run smoothly.
The new police chief on Phangan, is on a mission to make the island safe and secure for all tourists, to clean the island for everything unwanted and finally to state that the Police here are your friends and here to help and assist you - and any other tourist - who comes to enjoy the Phangan Paradise!!
