JAMES TRYSTAN
Great Stuff Berlin, Ministry of Sound
4 x Top 10 Beatport Artist
As one half of progressive house duo, Filth & Splendour, James Trystan isn’t a newcomer to the dance music scene. Having spent the last nine years DJing all over London,
Spain, Thailand, South Korea, and beyond, he’s well versed in performing to large and captivated crowds. Counting the Key, The Cross, Turnmills and The Egg as
residencies, alongside regular slots at Ministry of Sound, his experience delivering blistering sets is assured.
During his partnership with Oli Cassidy, he has produced a vast back catalogue of releases across their label Itch Records and established imprints such as Perfecto,
Cr2, Baroque, Twisted Frequency and Armada.
Supported and remixed by the likes of Carl Cox, Dave Seamen, Paul Oakenfold, Umek, Ed Kane, Jaymo and James Harcourt, their reputation as artists is certified by some
of the best producers in their genre.
Now building on that success and experience, James Trystan is exploring his solo sound, a sound that was quickly and
keenly supported by one of Europe's most respected bastions of credible house music - Great Stuff Records - and their new, more profound imprint Fukai who snapped up his
early releases and are keen to cement a long and lasting relationship with this artist on the rise. Through releases on Defected In The House, Seamless and KNM - heralding
multiple Beatport top 10s - James has nurtured a fresh palette that lurks in more profound, more atmospheric waters and toys with subtly emotive melodies without ever losing that
flagrant knack for heavy, undulating grooves. To understand why James Trystan is fast becoming a definitive production force in the housing industry, you only need to
check out his recent remixes work for the Klaxons, Fenech Soler and Ghost Beach, which have received support from the biggest names in the business. With most of his
recent releases being blasted out on Radio 1, Kiss FM and Capital James Trystan are undoubtedly this summers. Forthcoming are collaborations with Barber, and
Della Zouch, alongside numerous syncs to big compilations. His performance diary is filling up, too, with a short stint at the Ibiza closing parties before nipping to ADE and
over to Asia for Christmas and New Year; if you’re looking for the hottest talent on the rise, now is the time to get in touch.
