Are you on vacation or do you live in Koh Pha Ngan? For how long? How did you come to know about the island?
I was on holiday when we did this bodypainting. I decided to visit Thailand for 3 months. Unfortunately I stayed only four days in Koh Pha Ngan at the end of my trip. I heard about this island before my coming thanks to the Full Moon Party event which is famous all over the world. It was the first time i visited Thailand and I would love to come back again, even more in Koh Pha Ngan!
What are your thoughts on Koh Phangan? Has your experience here been inspiring in any way? How so?
Koh Phagan was one of the best place i saw in Thailand ! It is such a crazy place and also a beautiful tropical paradise ! I really enjoyed my stay overthere. It might be because of the funny feeling you have when you are on holiday, like you can do everything you want that you will never do at home. Lots of events/party are programmed every week such as : The Full Moon Party, The Jungle Experience Festival, the Sramanora Waterfall Party…I liked the life’s style of the people who share a lot with foreigners and live easily. They make this island magic !
When, where, and how did you meet the Alien Sistars? Did you contact them or did they contact you to be alienized?
I met the artist Luana at the Jungle Experience Festival April 4, 2014 . She had a wonderful costume that she made with Andrea. Two inseparable sisters. Luana had a pot of paint during the festival and we start the first bodypainting at this party, it was really fun ! Then we decided to meet again in order to make a second, more aesthetic transformation! They are both very cool, talented in their work and appreciated in Koh Pha Ngan ! If you go there you will most probably see an artistic performance of them somewhere. My awesome hairstyle was done by Swiss stylist Oliver's Twist.
When and where did you get transformed into an alien? What is your opinion of the location? Would you return?
We did in Haad Rin North (sunrise beach), where the full moon take place every month. We move into different bars in order to take pictures in front of as many if not all of the murals painted by the Alien siSTARS...all three bars on the mountain are completely painted, every wall and column on every floor!...we got photos in front of The Jamaica Beach Bar (down on the beach right before The Mountain) and Kangaroo Bar's Aliens. Oliver - Hairstylist - Oliver's Twist Hairstyles was photographer for this photoshoot session. A sicilian reporter: Ari DocumentARI for Bunga Bunga TV. was making a feature on Queen Luana and he made a video of, the bodypainting (which take 9hours) and our shooting. This famous location was perfect because it well represented Koh Pha Ngan (beautiful beach full of bars) and we were in the crowd and not locked in a studio.
In the Sistars interview, they explain that when body painting they are transferring positive alien data into the skin of human beings. Did you feel any symptoms from their data transfer? If so, what are they?
Yes because they give lots of energy to do this work and i really wanted to do all my best to represent this wonderful work. I could feel this strong energy on my body.
Did the alien transformation have any effect on your natural human behavior?
Not one in particular, it was really funny to do this transformation for the first time. It might have learn me not to pay attention to what the others think. If you do something, you have to give yourself fully!
Did your new alien super powers make you feel differently than you normally would have without them? What effects did they have on those around you as you were walking through the crowd?
Everybody payed attention to the alien transformation because it’s not common to see a girl wearing paint all over her body in the street but i think it’s something which happen tipically in Koh Phangan, i mean unsual things. I was the same but as everybody look at my bodypainting i feel a bit different, maybe more attractive, funny and sexy !
What were the human’s reactions to your new alien appearance? Did you inspire anyone?
People really like this transformation. They told me it was really cool, they took pictures of Luana’s work and some people wanted to do the same bodypainting! They were smiling and attentive to all the details in every part of my body.
Was your experience memorable or special in any way? How so?
My best experience in Koh Pha Ngan was The Jungle Experience Festival. This was an amazing night. I met lots of people there and the location was beautiful, unique and the atmosphere is completely amazing. Making party in the jungle is so unsual...that’s why it makes me enjoy the time even more. The nights DJ’s played good music, fire show performance was amazing, and you can drink all the night ‘cause safe taxis ensure your journey home at any time ! This party experience will stay in my heart all my life!
Would you be willing to have them transform you into an alien again? Has the experience inspired you in any way? How so?
Of course ! If I come back to Koh Pha Ngan I will ask to the sisters for another alien transformation !
